T-minus two days

Just two days before the surgery!  Exciting/nervous.

Yesterday was straight protein (chicken breast) and clear liquids.  Today and tomorrow will be totally clear liquids.  Going through my surgery books and instructions again, to make my own 'crib-sheet' of rules to be sure to follow.  Getting all the carbonated water out of my house; afraid I'll reach for one out of habit after the surgery!

Hope my surgeon and his team will be fully recovered after their holiday!

Good luck with your surgery. I also made a cheat sheet of what I could eat when...the packet you get from Dr C has so much info it's easy to get confused. If you have any questions, I'm happy to help. I live near Sac and attend his monthly support group meeting. Make sure you are signed up to get his newsletter also.

I see the surgeon that you both are using all over the boards. He must be popular:):)

I do not see my surgeon until the 19th but am reading all of the posts.

I hope that I get a bklt like you have.

Thanks, he's supposed to be one of the best on the West coast.

Just wanted to take a minute to wish you an uneventful procedure and a smooth, speedy recovery!  My experience was GREAT, so hope yours is just like that!  The first couple of days were the hardest, but just remember to "walk, sip, rest and repeat" after surgery.  The walking will help dissipate the gas...am sure you will do fine!  I have read great things about your doc on this site.  Best wishes as you continue your journey, Viv

Hello,,

I am new to the site and the post are so helpful.  I wanted to know that since you have already gotten your sleeve, what would you do differently now that you know the outcome. And if there is anything that you have found helpful in the recovery phases, that I can incorporate in my plans as I prepare for my VSG this September.

Thanks
