IS my pain normal????
Ok I think where they took out the stomach is where it hurts the most. I'm assuming the left insision is where it happened cause it looks caved in and hurts so much ion that area. Pain meds dull it but it still hurts. It hurts to stand up, sit down lay down what ev. I'm getting ready to evacuate and make sure this is normal pain before I leave to wait out the hurricane. SOmetimes the pain takes my breath away and it's only on my left area not right. Thanks, Kerry
Thank you. Yeah I feel the ass rumbling through. Just that one area giving me trouble. Trying to get all me liquids in buts its hard just sip sip sip not seeming to make it. Good luck to you also on your recovery. Hopefully we'll be in a better place in a week or so since we are just fresh out of surgery. Kerry
Yes it's normal. I'm almost 2 weeks out and that one incision still hurts more than the others. It gets better each day though.

It will pass. I was worried too because the pain was so intense and it didn't seem to be getting any better as weeks passed. However, three weeks later I was finally pain free. It's only been the last two weeks or so that I haven't had to literally hold in my stomach with my hand when I bent over and I've been able to sleep on my stomach. Ice can help. Hope you feel better!!!
