Hey all you Metropolitan Area NY (and close by locals!) OH members! Let's get together for a late Summer/early Autumn Meet-N-Greet!

Save the date for Sunday, 9/18 at a local Diner in Westchester County, NY at approximately 3pm (we can coordinate rides for people taking the train in from NYC or elsewhere).

This will be an affordable location with good parking and food of every stage from clear liquids to mushy/soft and up through regular consistency. But who cares much about the parking and food... I'm really excited to meet all of you!

Please send me an OH email to let me know who is coming, and I will make a big email list to get out the specific details as they firm up.

Can't wait-- Hope to see lots of you there!

Don, I think this dinner is a great idea. Not everyone can afford the event tickets, let alone two nights in a hotel.. Plus a sitter for a weekend, for people with kids. This is more accessible I think..

Yes Don, I do know that there's an event that weekend. I'll be out of town for it, though. And Fawn brings up some good points relating to finances and ease of an entire weekend away. Anyway, this is an entirely different weekend let alone a month before the convention, so it's not competing at all... and I've been meaning to organize a get together for local OH people for awhile, so Sunday the 18th it is! Be there or be square! :)

Sunday 9/18 approx 3pm, most likely El Dorado Diner on Rte 119 in Elmsford. But if there are a lot of NYC people taking the train, we might have to meet at a diner closer to a train station so that people can be easily picked up/dropped off without having to drive too far.

So this location is just tentative.
