Report on First Zumba Class!
OK, I am old, uncoordinated and have no sense of rhythm. My butt does not wiggle that way, and my chest certainly doesn't!
I was a little overwhelmed and I felt an idiot. But I made it through the class and it did go by quickly. And I did sweat!
We have committed to at least 4 classes. I'll let you know after the 4th class how it feels!
WOW! That's awesome - it sounds like a great way to get exercise without the normal treadmill/bike, etc. I will try it one day, i swear!
Great job!

I've been doing Zumba since early May. My sister, who is an exer-holic, told me to commit to five classes. No matter how bad I hate it or how stupid I feel, etc, I have to commit to five classes. And I did. In the first class I sucked big time! My greatest acheivement was that I didn't have pass out or even have to sit down. Since then I've gotten better and better, but I'm not going to be winning any dance contests!!
I like Zumba because it's fun. The music is catchy and fun. Pitbull ROCKS!! I find myself downloading some of the music so I can listen to it at other times.
The hour-long class (an hour and 15 minutes on Saturday morning) goes by way faster than 30 minutes on the treadmill. I sweat my ass off and burn lots of calories. A couple of weekends ago I went out dancing for the first time in forever and I swear my dancing skills had gotten better!
This is the first time in my life that I have ever been committed to any kind of exercise. To me that says it right there!
Have fun!! You'll love it!!
