I live in Ohio, and the cold is brutal for me, I bought a heated mattress pad and LOVE it. I'm just beginning to feel bones, ribs, clavicle, shoulders, my butt hurts to sit on hard surfaces, but I can always add more clothes and blankets, this next summer Ill feel better, last summer I didn't have the option of taking off a layer of fat to get cooler. So I'm thinking it is soo worth it.

I'm Still a work in progress, I wont give up the quest to reclaim my life, I will be whole again someday!

I never knew I had a tailbone! I love looking at all of them, even when I make my shoulder blades look like bat wings! I am never warm...but I also never could wear a sweater dress before!

I hear you !! I will take it a stepfuther. My hip and backside bones. And pelvis wow what a difference!!!The only complaint my hubby has is when here latly I go for the flannels he insists he will keep me warm.I use to never get cold in fact had ceiling fans and ac and a fan blowing beside bed right on me.That beside fan is now off.I will be frank and admitt I use to sleep in the buff I was just to durn hot at night.Kids nevvvvver thought anything about it becauswe I always slept that way (hubby worked overseas) so weither he was home or not.I would tell them my body needs to breathe (lol)We are a house of girls.Hubby always get a kick out of me telling all other males are gelded or nutered .We have horses and he always remembers if I can have them gelded then he better watch out he weighs less than them, and they can run faster than hi8m.LOL

I am finding bones that I never knew I had. I love (ok this is going to sound weird) to touch my collar bone ! That I can feel it right below my skin is just so....darned odd to me ! And my hands -- who knew I had so many bones and tendons in there ?!

The most interesting though are my knees. One of the reasons I had this surgery was to lose enough weight to qualify for knee replacement. I need 2 new knees....before they hurt constantly, and I walked with a cane....well, I actually hobbled with a cane at 300 pounds. Now, at 117 pounds lighter....no cane, and I walk better; but still in pain most of the time, and now, I can actually SEE the swelling. Never could before ! I have had to go in to my ortho doc twice now for new knee brace fittings, because I have lost so much weight, I needed smaller knee braces (which I now only wear for exercise!) Yes, I still need new knees. Cartilidge won't grow back....and the bone damage is permanent....but these knees fascinate me !

I know what you mean!  For me it's my collar bones.  I'm in love with them, lol.  Find myslef touching them in the absentminded way some people twirl their hair.

Just saw the pics you posted.  I have only done pics with clothes on post op.  Seeing yours make me want to take some now....thanks for the inspiration.

Keep up the good work

Last night I was getting settled into bed when I felt something weird in my side. I got scared for a second, and then realized it was my ribs! I'd never really felt them before.
