Has anyone ever try Miracle noodles. Someone was talking about them on My Fitness Pal.  I'm wondering if this will be hard on the sleeve.  They say they swell up  in the stomach to help you feel full.. So Im wondering if I could even eat them.  Love the idea of no carbs, no calories.

Sounds painful. I take a 1/2 teaspoon of Colon Pure, my personal favortie  fiber sup and it expands a little. If I get too much, it's pretty darn painful.

If it's the same Mircle Noodle, I'm thinking...They are already cooked and they don't swell any!..They are a staple in my diet!

Miracle noodles aka shirataki noodles can sometimes be found in the refridgerated produce section of the supermarket and also at asian food stores.

i tried them a few years back. if you try them make sure you rinse them really well with water under the faucet..they have this odd fishy smell otherwise.

they might be doable if covered in sauce.. i think they grossed me out, but then again..im italian and no yam flour noodle is gonna cut it!!

its funny, people either love them or hate them, with usually no in between. definitely worth a try to see if you like them.

there are several on the boards who use them regularly.

I have my favorite place in Tokyo for the absolute best buttery croissants....... and a Penne Prosciutto Pasta...... Another little place I found has the creamiest Mushroom Risotto

I tried them a few weeks ago and they were fine! Rinse rinse rinse! Just let the water run over them for several minutes. Then boil them for a few minutes in lightly salted water. I added them to some fresh garlic & onion sautéd in evoo...when I made it with stir fry. They are supposed to adapt to whatever flavors you cook them with. They have a slight crunch to them but not like spaghetti squash. Just follow the directions thoroughly and you'll be fine. You could even add a bouillon cube or two to the water when you boil them.

My husband enjoyed them too!

I have tried them and I think they are OK, not great, but OK.  Here is my take on them, why do you want to eat them?  We can only eat a very small amount of food, most of it should be protein, so why fill up with something that has no nutritional value at all?  I need all the space I have to eat the protein and veggies that my body needs.  I try to mostly stay away from nutrition free food now.  Of course if they were incredibly delicious, which they are not, I might have a few bites.

Tried them. Eh. They were pretty chewy. I'd rather use a peeler on a zucchini to make "noodles" then saute real quick with garlic and a bit of olive oil or butter. Cook them only a minute or 2. Add meat sauce or use like lasagna noodles in a sleeve friendly recipe. Much tastier than rubbery noodles. And this is from a person, who prior to WLS had pasta 5 times a week.

Texture and smell are gross! I bought a bunch at one time..way before my surgery & I ended up throwing those suckers in the trash. I bought a ton at the time, a bunch of cash down the drain. Miracle noodle also has miracle rice, that I have not tried.  I would say don't buy it, you will be disappointed.
