Update - Ouch

OK.. Talked with the doc and the reason for the added pain is not just the gas but we knew I had a hernia where mesh had been placed 10 yrs ago.

She said most people are stitched through 3 layers but she stitched me through 4 layers.]

hmmmm who'd da thunk it! 

Is your pain under better control? When do you get those yummy ice chips, tonight or after the leak test?

 dont get anything today @ all  leak test in the morning. if all looks good then get ice chips etc.

I have been up walking 3 times, the last being 1/2 hr ago and a big diff in pain.

we will see how I am in the morning..prob stiff..

Glad to hear you made it through mostly OK!  I was not near alert enough the first night to be posting or even reading.  I slept alot and walked every time they told me to, trying to go a little bit longer each time.  Take pain meds if you need to.  Every day gets better.  Keep up the good work!
