I'm so sorry to hear this. I can sympathize. This is exactly how I felt two days ago after spending the whole day at the hospital only to be told they couldn't do my back surgery due to a problem with my blood. I've lived with daily back pain for years, was finally told there is a cure, only to have that yanked out from under me at the last moment.

It's better to be hated for who you are than loved for who you're not.

Its a speed bump ...dang it...but just think how GREAT you will do post VSG with these issues resolved!

ya got off the cigs...PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't start up again because of this new stressor/delay!

Ulcer at duodenum is common in smokers

Most ulcer induced/aggravated by h.pylori is resolved within a couplea weeks...so maybe it won't be 4 months but much sooner! Keepin my fingers crossed yer docs GET ON THIS!!

And heads up...post VSG + smoking...bad news right! .......increases our chance of stomach CA! Studies done...partial gastrectomies (similar to VSG) and smoking...no lie...look it up I HAD TO...Im a former smoker some 20+ years off n on.

Ya have a TERRIFIC POSITIVE SPIRIT....a strength that will come in handy no doubt.. post VSG!

No, no temptation for cigs at all but dang!!! I just got my order of a great wine delivered and I shouldn't.... Seriously sucks!!! Appountment with gastro for follow up fixed for next thursday morning and two weeks of treatment indeed. I spoke to Dr Gagner and he said they would try their best to keep the VSG on schedule for 12 or 13 January!!!!!!!!! Keeping positive!!!!!!
