Hi all, I was sleeved this past Thursday and everything went fine as far as the surgery.  I'm have never even been in any real pain, just a little gas pressure.  However I have copd and that's
what is keeping me in the hospital.  My pulse Ox keeps dipping down under 90, so they are giving me nebulizer treatments and such to get me out of here.  Wish me luck on that, so glad
this surgery part is finally over and I'm on the bench with the rest of you folks!

I was wondering how you were doing! I am glad everything went well with the surgery... I am sending best wishes that you will be out of the hospital really soon. It is better they keep you there and make sue everything is stable before letting you go home. I ended up staying an extra day as well and I am glad I did. Take care!!

Thanks everyone!  I was dying to get on here but kept loosing service.  Tracy you been on my mind the past few days also, glad your out and doing well.  I don't mind staying here too much, I live to far away from the hospital if I had to come back it would be a pain.  I'm walking, sipping and  using that darn spirometer!

You need to get all of the anesthesia out of your system. Hang in there and think "open airway"!

Breathe deep, first from your stomach think "belly button to spine, belly button to the ceiling" if you are laying flat.
Then your chest breathes deflate your upper chest as much as possible like your trying to push your breast bone to your spine and back out.
It will clear your lungs (we alwasys said it ceared you of old breathe, not true but it is clensing) and help with the ox levels.

Welcome to the losers bench! Hope you get to leave soon
