Quirky little tricks that help me
Thought I'd share some tricks I've learned along the way. So for my weight
Loss phase I pretty much existed on cheese, meat and nuts. I did allow myself a bite of this or that if it was there, be it cake or pizza or whatever I just worked to not put myself in situations where that was an option all too often. I know myself and total deprivation is a recipe for rebellion... At least I'm not in denial right? Now I do pretty much eat whatever I want but some lil things that help keep my weight stable are:
(I'm on my iPad and don't know how to scroll down in ths box to even see errors to fix them, sorry) I forgot to add, don't take home left overs, you will eat them later and really your just spreading out the high calorie intake. Would food you prepare at home be that high calorie? Nope, so a 2000 calorie meal spread out over 2 days is still a **** load more than you typically intake. It's just what works for me and I thought I'd share... Muah
1.) I don't buy large packages of bad food, I buy a cupcake not a cake. A cookie from a bakery not. Box of ******g pecan Sandies! A mini bag of chips... Does it cost more? Eh, probably **** it I'll spend 2 bucks to keep the ability to dress like a hooker!
2.) Nuts are your friend... I am referring to almonds and such not the kind Jimbo
Likes on his *****eep them in your bag, your car and your office. I wil sometimes eat a handful before going out to eat to curb the amount of fattiness I intake.
3.) Allow a lil indulgence from time to time, you're human. (I get this may be a no no for the food addiction community) as for me with my sleeve I can only so much damage in one sitting. Get back on track next meal and add more water to flush out the sodium. You'll be fine and not feel like you're seem kinda alien made of broccoli and bonesless skinless chicken breasts.
4.) Water is your friend! I drink well over 100oz a day this helps for many reasons... Firstly, I eat a ton of crap these days and it washes the sodium out,I can't eat and drink together so it keeps snacking at bay and it allows me to space out meals. I have a shake each morning (I like to reserve my fat and calories and well carbs too for the other two meals)I havtwo bottles of water (3oz) after the sake then lunch then two more 33 oz bottles before dinner and if I can drink more one more before bed. This helps me kinda go into **** with a pla of attack and has kept me at a steady weight

Wow Jen...we have some things in common. I like nuts and have incorporated them since about month 3 (almonds and cashews are my favs) AND I like to dress like a hooker too (hey I have NEVER been able to fit into a size 6 anything before, why the hell not)!
These are all EXCELLENT tips, THANK YOU! I carry a camelback water bottle everywhere I go which has earned me the nickname Camelback amongst my friends (I guess its better than Camel TOE which is what I commonly sported when I was heavier).
Great post!!

Jen, some things you posted would/do work for me, and some things wouldn't. What really got to me and I wanted to comment on is that you have an excellent mind set. You will do what works for you and find strategies and techniques that you can apply in many different situations. You know yourself and work with yourself not against yourself. You are a great success story. Thank you for sharing. By the way, I saw you at the last support group and you look sexy as hell.
