McDonald's here too. I've never searched for it either. Low sodium recipes are mostly what I search for when I search for anything on food.
I guess I could have a plain hamburger patty but after these past 9 weeks of eating baked and broiled the thought of the grease on one of their hamburgers makes me sick.

I mostly get Las Vegas ads (hotels, shows, etc) because I go to Vegas a few times per year... and do lots of research on it. Haven't seen McD or Pepsi... but I think if you search food in general (even healthy stuff), then they'll target you with anything food related.

Wow - I never noticed those ads down there. I couldn't even find it until I saw Nikki's screen shot! The last few minutes mine has been mostly H&R Block plus some Cirque-type show in Orlando. The Internet gods must know about my upcoming cruise with a stop in Port Canaveral....
There's a cookie on your computer that keeps track of all the sites you visit. (There's a way to disable it, but IDK how.) And then there's an algorithm that calculates age/gender of the computer user based on those sites, and serves up ads that a person of that age/gender might respond to.
So you don't need to have searched for MacDonald's. Just the sorts of sites that a MacDonald's eater might visit.
