The pain does go away.  I had my surgery 3 and a half weeks ago.  I was in intense pain for 3 weeks and 2 days.  I was sure there was something terribly wrong.  It felt like I was tearing my insides every time I moved or sat up.  The only thing that helped me not completely lose my mind with worry and frustration were your responses to my post.  You told me that it would get bettter and the pain would one day start going away. Two days ago I finally felt some relief from the pain.  Today I can sit up without much comfort.  Thank you!

Glad to hear your feeling better!  Yes, it can take a while for the scar tissue to form over the sutures holding our muscles back together in there.  You should be good as new soon :)

Isn't it *wonderful* when you can get up and down, and in and out of bed, without pain!  I am a side sleeper, but for the first two weeks after surgery, I was only comfortable sleeping flat on my back.  I was so happy when I could roll over!
Glad you're moving to the next step :)
