 Saturday night at a get together with several friends, it was hard being there for 6 hours watching them eat the whole time.  A few of them ate foot long subs, there was 2 family size bags of Doritos, bowl of chips with dip and a bowl of pretzels sitting in front of me on the table.  The 450 - 500 lb guy sitting next to me finished off a whole bag of Doritos's.  

Wow that was hard sitting there watching everyone stuff their face.  It made me eat more then I should have but I'm taking pride in the fact that I ate:

Protein bar, fruit bowl and yogurt parfait.  I also had a handful of pretzels towards the end of the night when I just couldn't take the temptation anymore but all in all, I'm proud of myself.  I didn't order a sub and I didn't have any chips, dip or Doritos.

Awesome job! I am not sure I would have been able to pass over the Doritos. I would have had to move to the other side of the room and they would have been calling me from there. You should be very proud of yourself.

WTG!  That is probably the hardest thing and for such a long time!

I find that I am astounded how much people can eat (funny, I was one of those people just a few weeks ago).  I watch them and I think of what they are doing to their bodies and it makes me sick.  I go out to eat with my family once a week and I hope to be able to maintain this perspective.

I'm a little worried about going to my Grandmother's Memorial in just over a week.  My family loves to eat and drink (and drink more).  I am ready, but I know it will still be hard.  Everyone knows about my surgery and is extremely supportive.  I don't expect them to try to undermine the good that I am doing.

 It is hard to watch, BUT what I do is take out my trusty smart phone and pull up Myfittnesspal and put in whatever it is I am tempted to put in my mouth and then think about how far I would have to run/walk to burn that many calories/carbs and the numbers are usually just high enough to turn my stomach enough to remove the temptation LOL 

Overall, while pretzles are carby they are not a really bad choice. Good job keeping your head and staying in the game.

Great job!  I was at an Irish feast Saturday night.  The food was healthier than your party, but yesterday I saw a picture taken during dinner.  It was funny to see the amount of food on my plate compared to everybody else's portions.  So thankful for the sleeve!
