I had the same problem a few months out from surgery and it lasted awhile. When talking with my surgeon about it he said there is such a thing as post surgery insomia or something like that. I got him to prescribe me Ambian for 2 or 3 months. I already having sleeping issues so I had to do something serious for this. It did help me for awhile then I stopped taking it because I was kinda groggy during the day.  You can also take regular Benedryl for sleeping. It is what's in Tylonel Pm that helps you sleep. It is also called Diphenhydramine (generic name, cheaper). Good luck.

I have been having some issues too.  Not so much with falling asleep usually but waking up just about after 1-2 hours and then not being able to go back to sleep.  I'll get up at like 2 or 3 am and stay up till 5 or 6 then go back to sleep.  I hope this stops before I have to go back to work or I'm really gonna be messed up lol.
