Is this good to eat or not so good cause of sodium?
Holy Salt Lick Batman - is that g of sodium or mg? Usually sodium content is expressed in mg. The USRDA of sodium is 2400 mg (2.4 g). I really suspect that those are probably mg because 86g of cholesterol, which is also usually in mg, would make this mahi mahi a heart attack on a stick.
If the measurement is really in mg, then this is probably OK. If I could stomach fish, I would probably include this in my meal plan. The protein is probably a little light for me. I couldn't eat the whole 5 oz to get the 22g of protein.
If g is accurate for your mahi mahi, then a 1 oz serving has over 2x the USRDA. Too much sodium could lead to water retention, especially in people with liver or kidney disease or congestive heart issues. If you are sodium sensitive it could also elevate blood pressure.

Probably would be better to use fresh or fresh frozen fish, that has not been proccessed and roll your own, to control issues like this, however, this sure sounds a lot heathier then alot of things pre surgery... That being said, let me point out the spec sheet on pure Mahi Mahi, from Sparks People, BJ's numbers dont seem to add up, you should be getting double the protein in an ounce of this fish and one fourth of the calories they are serving up, so it really makes me wonder how proccessed this fish is....
