So, tomorrow I am scheduled to have my drained removed. However, i am concerned they may leave it in. It still has fluid draining. Then the internet is the devil and I read that it collects fluid from behind your pouch. Well that red crystal Lite may be what I am seeing in the drain!!! I dont know what to do!!!

Anybody else drain still draining 6 days PO???

Oh my goodness. You sound absolutly distraught!
I had my drain in for 6 days. the doc left it in right up until I had to fly out of Mexico.

the drain is going to be fine.

It's an extra precaution for surgery...some docs don't even use one.

You will be fine.  My daughter felt much bette once the drain was removed. I didn't care one way or the other.
It was weird feeling when it was removed, all of 2 seconds, but then it was fine.

good luck,
hope this helps.

My drainage looked just like fruit punch Crystal Lite and this was normal.

I guess you should drink blue Koolaid if you're really worried... ;)

I am an RN and I can tell you please don't get distraught over your JP. Your doc will decide if it should be removed at your next visit.  Bloody or serous sanguinous fluid is normal. Any concerns please call your doctor. good luck!
