Anyone over 55 - can you tell me your experience with the sleeve?
Had vsg at almost 55 years old. Recovery was hard for the first week and a half; but not as bad as I expected. I had difficulty just moving around at first. I took 4 weeks off work. was glad I did. First week back, came home ate a bit, and went right to bed in order to stay up the whole day. By 8 weeks out I felt really good. By 4 months out, I felt as though someone had turned back the hands of time.
Now at 56 y/o I am more active than I have been in 30 years. Gone from woman's plus size 28 to a petite ladies size 14/16. Lost 120 pounds; healthy and happy.
Do it !

I was 59 when I had the surgery and turned 60 about 4 months later. Would do it again in a heart beat! Am pleased with the rate of weight loss and do 90 minute combination of walking and stationary bicycling daily. Some days I walk more and bike less - whatever adds up to 90 min of exercise per day. I feel great, weigh less than the weight on my drivers license and less than when I graduated from high school. Good luck!
