Sigh .. still off from work

 Well, I don't know if I should be happy or sad.

Just got back from the clinic the Fire Department uses for our members and they won't let me go back to work yet.  They have me off duty for another month.  I go back again May 14th.

I told them my surgeon said I could work, even gave them a note last time I was there and they kept me off duty for 6 weeks then.

The Dr. said that I had major abdominal surgery and I shouldn't be lifting people and stretchers yet.  Money is getting really tight without being able to work any overtime in such a long time.  I was really hoping to get back to work and making some extra money.

Now I get to sit here bored most of the time and drive you all crazy reading these boards all day long .. when I'm not walking on the treadmill or playing with the dogs.

OH well .. another month off.  Guess I'll make the most of it.

 I WAS a child psychiatric nurse. My Dr. said 6-8 weeks. I do have to worry about it now. They fired me 48 hours before surgery.........Oh well got the time to job search

 That really sucks.  I hope you can find something else.

Wow .. sorry to hear you can't go back to work yet.
I was back one week after surgery.. I am a hairdresser so no lifting involved except for my scissors.

Sorry to hear about you having to take another month off. Try to make the best of it while you can. I think it's great you are walking. Chin up, you are doing great!

 Sorry sweetie, I wish we lived closer then we could hang out (since I spend most of my day home too!). 

I am allowed to go back on 4/23 and can't wait.

 That would be fun .. my friends are all working during the day.  I could use one that is home hehe :)

 I have pretty much decided that I am never going back to work, but don't tell my husband b/c he has other plans LOL He calls me his "retirement plan", since I will be done with my Masters right around the time he is ready to retire, so he wants to put me to work to pay the bills while HE stays home. Ah, the beauty of marrying someone 19 years younger, they get to support you when you are too old to do it yourself LOL

 Why do you think I'm looking for a younger woman? LOL
