Hi all,
I've been in the hospital since last Sunday night. Upper gi shows 2 tiny preforations. In my surgeon's words 99.9% of what I drink does not leak. He wanted stents put in right away but I lost it. They made me miserable last time. He mentioned two types of surgery, bypass or repair with glue. The surgeries would not be done laprascopically. Right now I'm npo and on picc line with tpn. Pain has improved and having another upper gi on Monday morning. Not sure what to do.

I found stents to be miserable too! I don't have a lot of good advice on what to do. I refused to have the bypass because I was terrified of it... that's why I didn't have it in the first place. I've had glue put in several times and it didn't work well for me but doing that in an EGD suite was much less invasive and finally after 8 months my leak appears to have sealed. Best of luck to you, and I'm so sorry to hear you're going through this. I've been right where you are and let's be honest, that **** hurts!

I'm so sorry you are going through this. It must be a really hard thing to deal with. I hope that this is resolved soon.
