A friend, who has a lot of weight to lose, started drinking these shakes and has lost 20 lbs so far.  She says her and her hubby love them.  She said she signed up to sell the shakes and I asked her for a sample.

Has any sleevers tried these?  On the website I found, it stated they were hi protein and low carbs.  It stated they were also meal replacements and not protein shakes.  Being that I have not had my surgery yet, I'm trying to wrap my head around the difference between the two anyway and which ones I should use.

Thanks everyone!

Yes, I have tried them. They are pretty good.

However, anyone drinking protein shakes as meal replacements is going to lose weight - thats how slimfast, optifast and post op diets are designed to work. There's nothing special about these shakes that make people lose weight.

I would encourage you, especially since you are pre-op, to dig in and do the research. You can get the nutrition labels online, and I'd recommend that you take some time to compare the nutrition labels (calories, carbs, proteins, etc) and decide if YOU think they are a good option. I'll just sum it up and say  it's not a good option. Yummy, yes, high protein, low carb - NO.

I would save my money and if I had my heart set on doing the shake thing I would get some good ones from GNC.

I run at high speed from pyramid schemes like this. Everyone who is a member is just looking to improve thier downline.

It is 12g of protein per 2 scoops.  Based on shake threads that is a bit low on protein I think.
I am still pre-op...
I did try the shakes and yes they taste relatively good. However, I am not a shake person and this isn't something I could sustain for long. But that is "me."
Like others I HATE pyramid schemes.
