I really am not sure how to count my 'time' because I had surgery in the afternoon and didn't get out until 5pm 2 weeks ago. So, I guess that makes me 13 days out ish. LOL.

I'm doing better than expected. Yesterday I got me and my son ready, took him to school, went to counseling (doesn't that always take it out of you??? ) then came home and finished my hair and makeup. Yea, it takes so long for me to get ready now planning around my stupid thyroid medicine and having to wait 30 minutes before I can eat anything.

Anyway, went to lunch with some friends. Checked out menu ahead of time and there was nothing I could eat. Even the soups were too acidic or chunky so I just mixed me up a protein shake and brought that. I warned both of them so they didn't feel weird.

Then I went to work for 4.5 hours. I'm still less efficient than before because of a little issue focusing but doing well.

I relaxed for the rest of the evening but I was definitely ready for bed last night and slept like a rock.

I'm a bit tired right now but I'm working on some school work at Starbucks before going to work around 12 or 12:30. I'm so grateful to have a flexible schedule.

****** Ok, so the fun stuff ******
I'm down 22lbs overall. I lost about 8lbs pre-op so averaging a pound/day!
I feel like my thighs are smaller but they don't measure smaller?
My waist around my belly button is a little looser but not much.
Most of the different seems to be my arms, my face and neck area.

I wish more people were noticing but hubby said maybe they're just scared to point it out? I don't know. I feel I look so much more thin in my face.

I have a 3 week check up next week and will post some pics. :)

Here's hoping for another good day and you guys too!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!  22 LBS. is amazing!!  I am scheduled for surgery on 5/14, I'm on my 2nd day of pre-op diet (liquids) and it is not bad at all.  I hope that I have the same "better than expected" recovery as well.

Keep up the good work.

You are doing great! Don't worry about who notices, that will come with time. I am two months out and yes, the people who know I had surgery have said that they can tell, but this morning my son's principal, said "wow are you loosing weight".....I was excited, and don't worry, people will start to notice you, I promise!

I went to the hairdresser today to get my hair cut (OMG, such a difference, I feel so great) and she didn't notice I've lost 25 pounds since she lost saw me.  I figure she's seen me at various different stages of fat and they all blend. However, I will see her again in about a month and I do hope there's enough to notice then!

Good for you on taking the protein shake!  I got chicken noodle soup at Denny's and was just glad to have something, but I'd already had my shake in the car about an hour previous, so this was mainly something to drink/sip/spoon while my husband ate.

[I'm not gaining weight. I keep lowering my goal!] [I LOVE MY SLEEVE!]
