Old Habits Creeping In (long, sorry)
Hey girliegirl, I am proud on you for noticing things that might be hard to cop to.
For me, the point would NOT be that it was "one piece of bread" but that it was an *old familiar behavior that I was blowing off and making justifications/rationalizations for*
Right? Justification/rationalization/masturbation, same same.
For me, mindless noshing IS a behavior I do NOT care to flirt with, romance, or nourish. I set myself up for success by having A DAY a month where I have a MEAL that is an anything goes MEAL. I tend to have it NOT AT HOME so that the foods that I dont need to let become a part of my every day life arent foods that I am used to eating at home.
Does that make sense? Maybe some things are "never" things, maybe some things are "sometimes" things, you get to make that call, and me? I base that call on my BEHAVIOR, not if its "only" and "I havent for so long" you know?

is where I learned my "boxing in" and "boxing out" structure, at the risk of being redundant.
*muwah*
I know some folks come back and they are MIR A KUL CURED!!!11!! from their before patterns and that really rocks, but for some of us, its a new skill we need to practice. And sometimes, we need continuing credits :}
be sweet to you, not indulgent - but GOOD!
By head **** I mean that inner voice that talks you into stuff you know you ought not to do.
*It's my birthday.* *One piece of candy won't hurt* *one M&M doesn't even count as a food*
You know what I mean. With drinking I don't have that inner voice. I just don't drink because it doesn't really appeal to me. I drank plenty in college just to make sure. :-) I don't have the emotional attachment.
I wonder if some of it is how close you are to goal. Are you possibly sabbotaging yourself?
Allow yourself to have this victory. Let go of the old crap. It's okay to be afraid, but don't let the fear win.
Get some tunnel-vision, hunker down and find out how awesome it feels to get to goal.
*hugs* I know how you feel and it isn't easy.
Keep your heart teachable and your beginners mind and just be a good friend to you. Watch how you react to things and set yourself for success *when you can.*
Sometimes we just need to roll with the punches, some days are **** and then they mostly get better, but for some of us? Bootcamp until goal is one thing - about calorie and nutrient macros n setch, but learning to rehabituate? that is NOT about calories or one piece of something or how much exercise you can do to "work it off", or how much you flog yourself.
For me, the most *challenging* and WONDERFUL thing for me has been my promise to myself that when I freak out - I do not start a binge/restrict/over exercise cycle - this was for my health, this was for my sanity. Learn all I can, change what I can, let some **** go.
Just another day in paradise, baby. :}
Best of luck!
