OMG PMS You ladies were right! Grrr....(guys you probably won't care)
Well, about 5 days ago I woke up and gained a pound. I was super friggin' confused because I haven't been doing anything differently. If anything, I have been upping my protein and water.
Then today, after my 1 hour (yes an hour!?!) of exercise, I started my period.
I do not have periods. Have not in 2 years. So, this is quite interesting for me and not in a good way.
I guess I now know why I gained that stupid pound and why the scale hasn't budged. Water retention I'd imagine. Or all the various other hormonal crazies going on in my body.
So, my question is: how does this normally affect you ladies if this is something I have to expect every month? Do you stall the PMS week then get right back on track. Oh I hope this goes away.
It's like a real one and everything with cramps. I think this might also explain my exhaustion last week. (Remember all my complaining about that?)
Thank you, thank you!
Oh, one side question, when you gain weight, do you log it? I have just been waiting until my weight goes down to below the previous weight then log it since I kinda weigh myself obsessively.

My periods have never stopped. My friendly visitor showed up this last Saturday also. The bugger loves to ruin my weekends.
I tend to have the munchies like crazy the week before (PMS) and either plateau or gain a pound or so. During my period, I TRY not to weigh, because it's depressing....I can gain several pounds, and that's even when my eating plan is good. Once my period is gone that extra weight is USUALLY off, and a day or so after that, I will see a pound or a few pounds fall off on the scale!
No, I don't log my weight gain when I feel that it's not real....probably only water weight. With the band, if I was off track and eating bad, and regaining, I would eventually update my ticker, trying to keep it honest.
We can commiserate together, as this is a painful period for me also. *ouch*

I had a uterine procedure right after the sleeve. I do not get the visible signs but my body still does what it does best. BLOAT!
Every frekkin month around this time I start inching up. I gain about 4-5 pounds in 10 days, then it goes back to where I started. Then there are 7-10 days where I lose weight.
I personally don't count that gain since I did not eat incorrectly. I do get cravings and the munches and I fight that every month.

OK- this may be TMI but here it goes...
When I had my rny I had started-I was terrified! Then the preop nurse hands me one of those "hospital grade" pads and a pair of what looked to be fishnet panties!!! When I woke up from surgery, I was wrapped in white sheets like diapers??? Fishnets and pad GONE!!! Needless to say, that gave me incentive to get up, get cleaned up and put on MY clothes!! Since then, I've had a hysterectomy and that's the BEST THING EVER!!! So, if you start, don't worry about it- they've handled it before!!
