Coughing post op
Even without the surgery, a cough for almost 2 weeks should be checked out by the doctor. Perhaps give your PCP call in the morning and check if you should be seen. It could be something as simple as it taking your body a bit longer to kick the cold because of your surgery, but still probably good to at least touch base on the phone. Feel better!

I had surgery on the 13th, and I had been coughing several times a day during the first week, but now it is maybe once or twice a day. My throat was sore also, but that seems to have gone away.
(I should note, I haven't had a cold, just the occasional coughing. No other symptoms aside from sneezing which is due to my allergies.)

Were you using an incentive spirometer during your hospital stay and afterward? My hospital had us doing that for the first 2 weeks to keep our lungs clear after surgery.
That aside, definitely call your doc.
