Agree with the too much egg - I def could not have eaten 1 whole egg that early.  I also couldn't do egg during the first month and a 1/2 - tummy just didn't love the eggs.

Don't worry - you'll get the hang of this in no time - just go really slowly!

I am learning to.  I am almost four weeks out and I cooked chicken breasts in cream of broccoli soup for hours in the crock pot.  Tonight I had about 1.5 oz and then laid down about an hour later.  I woke up to not a great taste YUK!

This to I will learn.

You'll learn to look for the signals when you are full before you feel it.  For me it was burping.  Then my nose would start running.  If I ignored that one - Foamies were not far behind.

Like you I was raring to get to eggs when I got to soft foods.  Found out quick that for me, like many others, eggs sit like BRICKS in the newbie sleeve.  Its not surprising that when you put cheese on them you overfilled.  I think I was 3 months out before that was even a possibility.  Prior to that the eggs alone would fill me up.

And yeah, bed within an hour of eating - not a good idea too.

Glad you got through it - this is not a lesson you'll forget!

The puking in your sleep may have been GERD rather than being overfilled.  (Well actually they sometimes go together.)  Has happened to me 3-4 times in the nearly 2 years since surgery.  It helps to stop eating about three hours before bedtime, and taking a PPI helps too.

Eat slowly too. For me I noticed right away that I felt more full 10 mins after eating than immediately after. Sometime 20 mins later and I weigh most food. I didn't try a scrambled egg for 3 weeks and it took a very long time to eat one. good luck!

Eggs are the one thing that I have found that my sleeve will not and can not tolerate any more, and I'm 3 months out.
