Everyone was so kind when I wrote about my husband I thought I better update y'all!  They admitted my husband on Wed. night.  Thurs. I went to the hospital and was told he would be released later that day.  He has/d pericarditis which is the inflamation of the sac around the heart.  Not life threatening but very painful.  Within 8 hours of being on the anti-inflamatories he was fine.

We waited around for discharge papers and left the hospital at around 4pm.  He's doing just fine.  He's back to work (the docs actually said he could go to work on Friday but his boss said no way) and tonight he'll be back to working out.  It was a sucky couple of days and I really appreciate the support.  Luckily it ended up not being too bad and everything is back to normal.

Good to hear he is alright. It is so scary when loved ones get sick.

Thanks for the update, glad he is doing so well. It must have been scary @ the time however not knowing what was going on. How are you doing now that things are getting back to normal? Take care.

Those were scary symptoms. I'm so grateful things ended up being not-scary!

So glad to hear he is feeling better!

I was hospitalized several years ago for 3 days with pericarditis which was the most painful thing I have ever felt in my life (including childbirth)!!!

Hoping he continues to feel better!!!!

I'm so glad he's okay! Thanks for letting us know--you've both been in my thoughts. Hopefully things will settle back down for you. Deep breath.

I am sorry I missed your original post so could not offer support, it sounds very scary.  I am so glad that things are not too bad and it can be treated and is not life threatening.  Normal is good!  Take care and many hugs coming your way.

You didn't miss much.  When hubby was in the hospital and struggled food wise and at a fiber one bar.  Then felt incredibly guilty about it.
