Beat my 5K best time this morning!

I did a 5K this morning and beat my best time by 7 minutes! I did it in 39:57 this morning. I hope to be down to about 35 minutes for my next charity race sometime at the end of August or beginning of September... I'm so proud of myself for sticking with it and just know that all of you out there who have been thinking about doing it can also accomplish this or any goal you set your mind to! I couldn't have done any of this without the sleeve-- what an awesome tool to help me in my journey to better health and vitality!

You're doing great! I admit I'm jealous... my c25k program has me thinking I'm gonna puke after jogging for 90 seconds right now, especially after I've been at it for a total of 25 minutes... lol! Next week it'll have me start doing 3 minutes at a time with shorter walks in between; I'm nervous!

I love the pics too! You really are rocking this!

Thanks, Moonglo-- You can definitely do it! Just work your way up to it, and if you need to space it out a little to fit your specific needs, well then that's ok too! It's about the journey as much, in my opinion, as it is about the destination.

VSG on 04/30/12 with
Moonglo!  I'm doing c25k as well. I promise it gets easier. I'm on week 5 right now and can't believe that I jogged for 8 mins straight 2 different times during my workout this morning!  It's crazy how fast your endurance will build up. I did have to repeat a few weeks in there though. I'm doing the color run this fall.

Good luck to you!

Thanks, Courtney-- that was an awesome tip. I signed up there and have started logging in my races but so far 2 out of the 3 that I did aren't on there. I've added them with the official websites and am waiting for them to be accepted to the system. :)

I was amazed to see though that my time has gone from over 15 min/mile to just under 13 min/mile. I can't wait to get faster now that I can track my progress and to some degree my fitness level!

Thank you again! Are you registered with them? Let's be atlinks friends :)
