Well I'm doing fine. Minimal pain. Having a had time getting water  and protein in. I'm so bored with chicken broth, jello, popcisess, and shakes! I have to eat this for a whole other week!! Ahhhhh!

Its usually two weeks of clear liquids and two weeks of shakes - or did you get lucky and have a surgeon that doesn't do it that way.  In most programs you don't get to purees until 4 weeks out.

My doc said as long as shake is mixed with water that I could have them during clear stage. Maybe I should call my doc!!!

Glad to hear the pain is minimal. No worries about the fluid intake levels. Try your hardest and it will get easier. Lots of swelling still so its normal

4 days here as well, and I can feel a big difference today. Yesterday I was Barely getting in half a sip of water every 25-30 min. Today I'm getting in a whole sip every 15 minutes and getting around a lot better. Tomorrow I start my full liquids, including my protein shakes. Oh, and before today evrything had to be room temp. Today I am drinking cold water. I am also drinking bottled water. Tap water wich I've always drunk before is tasting nasty to me now. I wonder what other tastes will change ? Glad tohear you're doing so well !!

Is it painful to swallow or it hurts once it's down at the stomach area?  Just curious....

Introduction of a different temp causes brief pain for me at first. Also if I take too big a sip I can definitely tell. Your sleeve is definitely the one in charge now ! I can do hot and cold ok now, but it took a slow introduction. Got my 2 protein shakes in today and also about 1/8 cup of cream of potato soup.  The best tasting soup ever !! Also my sense of smell is extremely keen,  With a/c on and doors and windows shut I know when a car comes by because I can smell the exhaust. Can't drink tap water at all. I can taste the chemicals now.  I've always been a water drinker and usually just drank tap water, but now, not so much.
It really is a full time job just getting your shakes in.
It's a differemt world, but so far I'm liking it and feeling good. My feelings about food just changed after surgery. When I thought about today being the day I get to eat something, I didn't think in terms of getting to eat. I thought in terms of  getting some energy so I could take a shower !!
