Today as I was walking to my cardio appt I stopped into a pizza shop and just gazed at their pizza in their display left there empty handed because I had my lunch container stocked w/ tuna, a protein shake and turkey pepperoni... Walked to blocks to the medical clinic guess who was outside??? My bariatric surgeon and his nurse!!!!! I'm 2 months post op today....I freaked out because I was thinking what if I bought that slice of pizza and was eating it enroute to the clinic and they saw me!!! I know i make myown decisions... this is a big eye opener for me... I was so glad I just looked and didn't touch the pizza... Thought I would share this story

Heh, you know what though? I can't eat pizza. The breading makes me feel so sick. I can pick off the toppings. Hubby actually usually makes pizza for us on Friday nights. He makes rye dough for he and the kids and either we do a cauliflower thing or toppings on very thin slices of chicken breast for me. (although the kids like that too).

It's weird how my stomach makes me behave now

Good for you. Will power is something that is really hard to get and keep. I'm very proud of you. Walking away is really hard for me sometimes.

You are awesome!

I thought the pizza was not a good food choice and being 2 months post op I know my stomach couldn't have handled the greasy pizza. But I'm glad I walked away.

Oh, you definitely did amazing! I should have qualified myself by saying that when he does it at home, it's made very healthy, homemade sauce, good cheese, turkey products. Mine is actually usually fresh jalepenoes, onion and mushroom on thin chicken breast. Sorry I wasn't more clear, I guess this is just my new way of eating so I forget. Take out pizza rarely happens because my stomach doesn't like the grease either. :)

You did really really good!
