and sleeved.  I wont lie the first night was god awful!!  I was sick to me stomach and had the dry heaves.  I am feeling a lot better know.  Been sleeping sipping and walking.  I did have a drain that was removed this morning before I went home.  That was a really weird feeling when he was taking it out.   Hoping for a fast recovery

Congrats. I was sleeved yesterday. Home today. The drain was bizarre. But it was causing most of my pain I had anti nausea Meds and patch behind my ear (still there) so I haven't thrown up yet sorry you were. That's no fun.

Everyday gets better and better. My 10 staples come out on 10/8. When is your 1st follow up?

Sorry you are having issues. Hang in there - it will get better and the result is well worth it.

I had the same patch behind my ear and zolfran shots through my IV. I can't stand very long without getting really pale.

Welcome back home karynh AND welcome to the other side to the losers bench. I also had the sleeve done. I had my done on June 8, 2010. Sorry to hear that your first night was bad. The first few days was bad for me. Each person will be different. That's good that you are doing better now. You'll do fine as each day goes on. Just take each day slowly and one day at a time. I had some drains too. I think I had 4 of them. You are lucky to have one drain taken out the day before you went home. I know what that feeling feels like. I don't know about you, but to me, that feeling of the drain being taken out felt like someone stuck a vacuum cleaner hose into me and turned it on when the doctor took the drains out. It had that suction abortion of a vacuum cleaner. I hope you have a healthy fast recovery.

All the best to you karynh. Take care.

Thanks everyone! I am trying to get all my fluids in, this has been a real challenge for me. I have to take very small sips or it hurts really bad. Still trying to get all this gas out ugh! I see the dr in two weeks for follow up. I have allergies and the first time I sneezed and coughed I thought I was going to die. I am able to eat Popsicles very easy so if that is how I can get some liquids in that is what I am going to do! I got some flavored water that I am going to try today.
