So I gain 4 pounds in the last 2 weeks.  I am not going to lied to you guys and say "I don't know what happen, I was perfect and i gain"  I was not perfect.  I didn't follow my plan and I pay the price.

OK so this is what happen,  I went out with my friends and I drank alcohol.  I drank wine three times in the last two weeks,  and then to make things worse, I did not journal at all and i didn't work out two days last week.  So there was my problem.

I am really disappointed with myself because DARN IT!  I know better.  I am now back on track, tomorrow is a new day and I am getting my ass back to the gym double time.

The scary part out it, is that I now know how easy it is to go back to those bad habits again.   Moral of the story, don't follow your plan, and you are going to pay the price.

Listen,it just means that you need to find a balance.4 pounds in 2 weeks must have taken a little more than just having wine 3 times and not exercising twice.Sometimes when we drink we also eat more. (I am making the assumption that you didnt drink loads though)

You have to find how to balance things so that your weight doesnt bounce up.If you were low carb before,of course you will bounce up if you added alcohol or carbs.

Dont be disappionted, learn from this how to plan for changes in your plan. This is all about finding what will work for you in the long term. And there will be occations when you will have wine more often.Find your balance! To keep the weight off it is so important. When I know I are going to do something different it sounds like this in my head...a little less of this,a little more of that...balance usually works.

Im going away for a while, staying at a beach resort, going to have some coctails next week. But I believe a little less of this and a little more of that will balance it out.I have to believe this as I am a normal person, doing normal things and my weight loss is now part of my normal and my balance in life.

Others might differ from me and that is fine but I have lost my balance too often in life after being very radical to one side or the other (extreme black and white thinking) to know that this was the one thing I had in most parts of my life but lacked in my eating and drinking habits.

Good luck and dont be too critical of yourself. You have learnt some valuable lessons through this experience. We are not perfect. No one is.

Thanks for the reminder for all of us....it's good that you only let it get to 4 lbs and got back on track!

This is a lifetime journey..and the minute we don't think so is when we are in trouble.!

I am almost 2 1/2 years out and got up 9 lbs ahead of my goal weight recentl;y ...but it was my own fault.  I wasn't weighing every am which I need to do, wasn't being good with my water, wasn't going to the gym in the am like I usually do instead went at night and often did not make it because after a long day it is easy to say...tomorrowand starting snacking on not good stuff!  A big wake up call!  I got back on tract and feel better all ready.  I said to myself the difference is now I have a tool to help....

That is why support groups and wt loss friends are a HUGH help...I cherish them!

good for you for catching it early and getting back on the saddle!  This probually could have been written by many of us...thanks for the reminder.
