Frisco...I could not agree with you more!  I learn something each time from that group.  No matter how far we get post op...I just really feel that this is a journey that I am still learning from.  I also think it is really important to be around a group of people that understand and share our journey...it keeps us real!  I hate missing a month!  (and  I love going to the dinner before)

I know that I can't make it next month because we will be with Mickey MOuse but I am already trying to find another one of his groups to go to so not to miss.  Dr. C is great....Even though he is not my doc he is so open to questions and never makes me feel less than welcome for being there.

Love the people in the group...very solid vets that I have learned so much from.

Love the new Frisco site...I am going to try a few of those recipes.  YOu keep it real Frisco and always inspire me to want to do my best.

Love the support groups...invaluable to say the least!!

I couldn't agree more. I was actually the guest speaker at our support group tonight. I will never stop attending them. It keeps you in check. Wish I was up north so that I could sit in on one of those All Star Support Groups :)

I was so sorry to miss group last night. I love seeing everyone and I always learn something to carry me through the month. I'm really sorry I missed Julie reaching goal!

This is my first week on a new job. Yup, after 11 months unemployed, my daily hiking is being curtailed in lieu of a paycheck. But i did hold out for a job where i can walk to work! Hopefully once I'm there a little longer, I will be able to get off early on support group night. I do have two monthly Kaiser meetings, a monthly luncheon in Contra Costa and the East Bay Bariatric meeting so I'm not left without support.

Hope to see you all soon!

Ah, no wonder Dr. C and crew were down in San Jose on Wed! I wish I had joined you all. I'm having my procedure on Nov 26, and I can't wait to meet you folks at the Dec meeting.

I feel like I already know some of you from reading your posts here!

I went to my first support group meeting Wednesday night at my local hospital (not where I had surgery) only to find out it had been cancelled. I think cancelling the only support group meeting in the month of November was a really ****ty thing to do, given that November starts the annual crap food bonanza that ends with Valentine's Day in February.
