So I just found out about surgical stockings today. I had no idea they existed and help reduce the chance of blood clots. I'm having my surgery in Mexico with Dr.Alberto Aceves and don't know if he will provide those or if he will use the blow up massage ones? Either way, I'd like to be prepared and would like to know of any suggestions on where to buy them and if they have to be a specific kind. Thanks!

more pharmacies and walmart have them.  there are different levels of compression from super tight to sorta tight.  not sure which is best post-op.  they mainly sell to diabetic people.

If it feels good, do it!  And if it smells good, eat it!

Ok, that is the one area that I felt was up to par.  What he calls "compression bandages" is just gauze wrapped around your legs.  I am hoping that I a follow up survey or questionnaire and that would be my comment " buy the blow up massaging ones.  Everything about his operation is so first class, I was disappointed.

I used both the stockings and the blow up ones in the hospital. I am still wearing the stockings one week out.
