Unable to vomit?
Since there isn't much in your stomach to bring up you are not as likely to be able to. Actually if anything you are more likely to get the dreaded foamies.
I had one time a few weeks ago where I was very nauseated as I ate too fast. I felt like I wanted to throw up and even tried to force the situation sticking my finger down my throat. All that happened was a mild case of the foamies. Not much fun but I did feel a bit better.
I have not thrown up since having VSG. I was not a vomiter prior to VSG, so I figured I wouldn't be much of one post. Frankly, I hate vomiting, so I'm glad about this fact.
What I have had happen once the one time I really overate without realizing it was this: for the next two hours I was like a cow whose cud kept coming back up. I had to keep a cup with me to collect the "cud" each time it happened. IT was TOTALLY GROSS! Taught me to be hyper aware of eating too much.
How early out are you? I think you'll be able to vomit eventually, but early out there's a lot of trauma and everything doesn't work right.
