Thank you for being so sweet to me. I actually see a lot of yourself in me. I feel like I can relate to you on many different levels. I hope to meet you at the OH conference but if not there, maybe someday soon.
I just cannot get over how gorgeous you look!!!! Get it gurl!!! Rock on and keep pluggin' away to your revised goal. I know you can do it. I will be cheering you on all the way!!! MUAH!!!

WWBD?
Aww, Jenn, you know how much I adore you! I wouldn't be where I am without you honestly. You have been by my side, cheering me on, inspiring me, giving me virtual hugs, making me laugh when all I want to do is cry, and so much more. You are such an amazing person, and I'm so thankful for you. I think we will get into tons of trouble (the good kind!) when we finally meet. I'm hoping it's at the OH conference :)
My mom's going to buy me some pricey jeans when I get to my revised goal. It's her gift to me for all my hard work, and she's sick of seeing me in droopy drawers. Haha. I'm so excited to go jeans shopping then. I promise I will post photos!

soooo happy for you and for your beautiful daughter (she now has a very healthy not just gorgeous mom)!!
I can use cheerleading and advice!! I lose about 20 lbs and then hit weight loss stalls. The first stall hit at about 2 1/2 months out. it lasted 3-4 weeks and ended about the same time I finally figured out what it was (thought my sleeve wasn't working or that I was doing something wrong. people told me i wasn't eating enough and my body was afraid to lose weight... ugh!) Now, I have been in another stall teetering at about a 50 lb weight loss. This is going on 4 or 5 weeks now and I am so frustrated. I've lost the motivation to exercise and, though I am stll eating carefully, I am so sad to be wearing most of the same fat clothes I've had...
My scale is not very accurate but gives me 5 lbs of leeway depending upon how I stand on it and where it is in the room. If I lean to the left and stand on my left heal....!
I don't know how to break the stall. exercise has not made a difference. shakes or no shakes, protein bars or not, increasing water (It is true i never get enough and I'm timing myself today to get it all in) has been tough, what else can I try???
anyone's advice is welcome!!!
Thanks and congrats again!!
Aww thanks :)
How many calories are you eating? Do you track everything you eat? What is your carb and protein count? How much water is not enough? Water is really important. It flushes the crap (literally and figuratively) out of our systems. You must prioritize it. Not all people need to do low carb to lose weight, but I have had consistent weight loss with no stalls longer than a week and I believe it is primarily bc I eat about 650 calories, 80-100g of protein and less than 20g carbs. There are obviously some days that I go above 20g of carbs, but I try to make it only 1 or 2 days a week and they are still usually under 30g. This might not work for you, but it has really helped me avoid stalls and lose weight quickly which was the primary goal for me. I don't eat protein bars, I drink 1.5 scoops of protein powder daily and that's over 30g of my protein in a day bc it's easy and I have a ton of restriction. I also eat very little dairy. I don't think exercise helps me lose weight, but it makes me feel powerful and strong, gives me energy, releases endorphins, etc. I tend to lose the same whether I'm exercising or not. I think exercise is important, but it's not a deal breaker when it comes to losing weight. If you don't have a lot of time, just try to get 30 minutes 3 times a week of exercise, but make sure you like doing it. If you don't like it, you will never stick with it.
Have you talked to your surgeon? Some people lose weight slower than others. Some people's plans are very different or their bodies simply respond better to certain ways of eating.
