"Thank you for saving my life", she said...
I had my 1st post-op surgical appointment this morning. I'm 3 weeks and 4 days out. I'm down 30 lbs since the day of surgery. I'm amazed and thrilled! ![]()
While I was waiting for the doc (my appt went well ; he's very pleased...), another patient was walking out of her appt with the other bariatric surgeon on staff. She yelled back, over her shoulder, "Thank you for saving my life!" The surgeon responding, "Don't thank me. You're doing all of the work."
The doc had the right response. For those on the fence or pre-op, this surgery is just a tool and we still need to do the work. I learned this from the get-go from the vets and informed people on this site (specifically this forum and the VSG Maintenance forum) and from my lovelies on MFP (My Fitness Pal).

Peace and rock on!![]()
You're doing great! It's a fun period when you can't wait to get up every morning and see another pound or two gone. Savor it!
