Which plant based shakes do you use?  I use PlantFusion and love them.  Just started blending in spinach to my protein shakes. YUM.  Trying to eat a big tub of organic baby spinach a week.

I do use that one and also sun warrior and another called vega one. I feel so much better off the whey. The bloat and constipation miraculously vanished!

I've been juicing since 2 weeks post-op. I only use organic green veggies: kale, swiss chard, cucumber, celery, spinach, parsley, a small wedge of lemon, and a small wedge of a granny smith apple. Sometimes I throw in 1 tsp. spirolina. Then I add Unjury unflavored protein to the juice. This way I get the micro nutrients at the same time as protein. My tummy really likes this combination. A lot of foods don't settle well with me, but the green drink is soothing (neutralizing???) to my tummy. This is a very low carb juice; 8 oz=approx 35 calories. When I add 21 grams of Unjury protein (1 scoop), the total is 125 calories.

Thanks!  That is interesting.  I hadn't thought about adding protein to one

I do all liquid days with just protein drinks and water.  Not necessarily a cleanse, but it definitely resets my system a bit.  I have friends that just do water fasts and they do fine.  As long as your sugar is in balance, fasting can be a very healthy, mind and soul cleansing, as well as a body detox.

Have fun with it.  If you do not make it an entire day, do not be too hard on yourself, you may have to work up to it.  Also, do it on a day you can be home and not doing anything strenuous.

There are great movies out there about juicing, mainly veggies, but some fruit as well.

Dying to Know

Gerson Miracle

Also, Hallelujah Acres, Hallelujah Diet is about veggie juicing as well.
