Any Michigan VSG's?

Hi! I'm from the Flint area and had my VSG at Hurley with Dr Farhan. Four months out but, my DD had hers there almost 3 years ago.

BAND REMOVED 9-4-12-fought insurance to get sleeve and won! Sleeved 1/22/13! Five years out and trying to get that last 15 pounds back off.

VSG on 10/09/12

I had my surgery done by Dr. Pleatman in Pontiac and am 7 months out. I was self pay.

Failure IS NOT an Option

Yes! From Lake Orion - I had Dr. Chengelis and the surgery at Royal Oak Beaumont on May 15, 2013, As soon as I figure out how to get a picture and a ticker on here, I will do that. But don't hesitate to contact me! Becky

Hi Becky,

I hope your doing well and feeling stronger each day after your surgery.

I'm new to this site, and I too am trying to figure out how to get around here. But I will say everyone here is very friendly and most helpful in answering questions. I was on the Vertical Sleeve Talk and there were a few rude remarks from some individuals when questions were raised. There is no need, in my opinion for rudeness when one is searching for answers. After all, we are all here for the same reason, to share our experiences with one another.

Thank you for the kind words! I agree - this is what the forum is for - questions, encouragement and of course, sometimes we hear what we don't want to hear (don't be eating cheeseburgers two weeks out, etc) - but I learn SO much from reading the posts. This forum has taken away a lot of the unknown and I am thankful!

VSG on 11/26/12

I'm from lake orion and had my surgery in Kansas City before we moved. I switched to Beaumont in Royal Oak and I'm very happy with my care.
Good luck it's a great tool!

I am LO too!

Surgeon: Chengelis Surgery on 12/19/2011 A little less carb eating compared to my weight loss phase loose sleever here!
