Okay so last week out of no where i gained 3 lbs and now another one. I was thinking it wad TOM but cramped a little but never showed up. So today i was talking to a friend who had the bypass done in sept of 2012. She really freaked me out. She said that i could have a blockage and i should go see if everything is okay. Blockage?! Has any of you heard of this? She say i should not be gaining like that, 1 to 2 pounds yes but not 4. What is your take on this?

I don't know what sort of "blockage" your friend is talking about. If she means a blockage of the bowel/bowel obstruction---well, I'm willing to bet you've never felt the sort of pain THAT causes! Any time the digestive tract gets blocked, things get painful QUICK.

I'm guessing your 'gain' isn't really fat, but retained water. Have you been eating more sodium than usual? Been drinking less water? (The more water you drink, the less you retain.) And---it's just NORMAL for your weight to fluctuate. Stay off the scales.

Your friend is RNY and has had her intestines rearranged.  A blockage would be much more common.  Odds are your not blocked, have you been going the bathroom.  Like MsBatt, says it is very, very painful.

When I go up, like I did the last 2 days I go back to my journal.  Sure enough the carbs have crept up and the protein was lacking.Check out your carbs, protein and water consumption.

BAND REMOVED 9-4-12-fought insurance to get sleeve and won! Sleeved 1/22/13! Five years out and trying to get that last 15 pounds back off.

No haven't felt any pain, but wow! Thank you guys so much. Makes more sense now. Yes my fluids have been low, as well as protein. But carbs and sugars have been as well. Had a lot going on this pass week or so and haven't been doing everything I know I should be but I know my life depends on it. Today everything its strictly business lol. I am back on track before I fall off the track . Thanks again the picture is much more clearer. (Hugs)
