Potential protein shake but GNC worker says no.

I had previously posted that I was having a hard time finding a protein shake that didn't make me feel ill after I drank it. I tried some samples of optimum nutrition Hydro Whey isolate. It is 140 calories, 1g fat, 3g carbs, 30g protein. Your body obsorbes it in 15 minutes. And I do not feel sick after drinking it.
However the GNC worker says it is not a good idea to use it because it is meant to be used for a post workout drink.
Any thoughts on this?

Drink it, use it. Tell the guy at GNC that you are an extreme weight lifter.

Sounds perfect. The guys at GNC may know supplements but they do not know WLS. The Hydrolyzed Whey Isolate is great for you.

That so made me smile
It is the only one that I have tried that hasn't made me feel like getting sick for hours later.

Then by all means buy it and use it.

That individual obviously has more experience with body builders than VSGers. As long as its whey isolate your body will absorb it. I have a similar drink; 160 cal, 30g protein, 3 carbs, 1 sugar. Anyhow I have it for breakfast everyday and I wouldn't have gotten this far without it. (Premier Protein in case you are wondering)

I have found the GNC employees are clueless when it comes to "us" and the surgery we have had.  I would go with it.

Ugh, GNC employees. In my experience, most have been unhelpful, bordering on rude. I've come across one who is helpful (wish I knew his schedule).

As has already been said, most know very little about WLS and our needs. If it doesn't make you feel sick, GET IT! In fact, I may go look for this one, as protein shakes are making me feel awful now. I'm glad you found something!

I thought it was the milk making me sick, but I used milk with these shakes too and feel much better.

That's awesome! I'm lactose intolerant so bad right now that Lactaid milk sends me running to the bathroom. I'm starting to wonder if almond milk could be the problem in my case. It's the common denominator when I think about it.
