3 days out...

Still feeling pretty awful. Dying to get rid of this gas that is just stuck. I ended up needing a hernia repair and lap choly so I guess I was inflated for a while.
I can't get much down. The smell and taste of most things make me nauseous.
I am doing the best I can to stay hydrated but am not getting nearly enough in but I just physically can't.
Feeling very frustrated. Had I known it was going to be like this I don't think I would have done it.
I can't live like this much longer, something has to give.

Oh, no, poor thing.  If you can, try and walk as much as you can, it truly helps with the gas.  Just do your best with sipping and take it a day at a time...it does get easier each day.  I was the same way the first few days, too.

I hope you feel better very soon!

(((hugs)))  The first few days are the worst - and the gas is rough since nothing helps it but getting it out.  Walk as much as you can - I know, easier said than done, but moving is the best way to get it out.  Each day will get a little better and soon you will be feeling human again - I promise!

Remember the newbie mantra - sip, walk, rest, repeat!

Hang in there.  It does get better every day.  The nauseous feeling at the thought of food will pass.  The pain will subside.  It takes a while, but you will get there, and then it will all be about weight loss and health.

So keep your eye on the big picture.  I know its hard at first, but it will be worth it.

I don't know if you have any kids... but just think of how many women in labor think the same thing! I did! Yet, when the "joy" of it comes, it is so worth it! (and I ended up having another one of those things! haha)

Once this passes, I am sure it will be worth it for you. I have read over and over from vets that they thought "what the hell did I do to myself??" for the first few weeks but then as their body healed and the results started coming, it was the best thing they ever did.

Sending prayers your way!

Thank you for the encouragement. I was finally able to pass some of this horrific gas last night which has relieved some of the "fire" in my back and chest so I am hoping to have a better day today. Fingers crossed!

It gets better every single day, believe me!  Day 10 was a magic day for me - I didn't need a nap to get me through anymore, the gas was gone, and I could walk more than 5 minutes without turning around.

One day at a time, and sip, sip, sip!
