YES!  Thank you!  I knew those that had been around awhile would know which female surgeon I referred to.

From reading all the comments in this thread it sounds to me like ldb1095 is one of those people who have to be right all the time. If you know of a bad surgeon or maybe not bad but has had people have complaints against them tell people. Dont just say oh the people on here know who I am taling about. That is BS. We all come here to get info. Are you afraid of posting the persons name so others can look them up and see the complaints for themselves? As far as traveling to TJ for surgery 1000's of people do it every year and you do not here of any of them having any trouble what so ever from the "cartels". Like the other poster stated she felt very comfortable going by herself. I feel very comfortable going by myself. I am flying out Sunday for my surgery in TJ. As far as Crime and big cities all cities have it. but you do not here the State Dept issuing warnings about traveling to them. Some of the most dangerous places in the US Detroit, Chicago, St Louis, Memphis, New Orleans. But you do not have the government saying dont got there.

Now I know if I get a reply blasting this post. I know for sure that ldb1095 Is just an online TROLL who has to be right and likes to start arguments and that anyone opinion besides theirs is wrong and does not matter.

I actually thought that she was one of those medical coordinators that work for one of the companies that bring people down to Mexico. She is very adamant not to mention a little argumentative on where not to go but has not ever said where she went or what Dr she or he has used. And yes that is her own choice not to post that information on here.

That isn't true.  You are making assumptions.  I most certainly have written on this very board where I went for surgery.

It isn't a matter of fear mongering.  People have a basic human right to have all sides of the story.  I really don't understand why that is such a horror for some.  Researching your surgeon regardless of country is vital.  I see people from all over, every country including the US doing more research on their protein shakes than they do their surgeons.

Research isn't BS, it is the adult thing to do.

The doctor she is referring to is a female dr. named Dr. Pompa in Tijuana. There were many threads about her making very large sleeves. It is absolutely true that this has been a problem with some of her patients. Some of them had to be re-sleeved.

As far as going to TJ, I went there for my VSG surgery and I felt fine. There were always people with me from the doctor's staff and it's not like I was going partying at night and hanging out in bars. I was there for surgery. I never felt scared or unsafe. I am sure you will be fine. The only thing about TJ I didn't like was the crazy driving. However, that seems to be normal there lol. I didn't see any accidents so that's a plus :-)
