From reading all the comments in this thread it sounds to me like ldb1095 is one of those people who have to be right all the time. If you know of a bad surgeon or maybe not bad but has had people have complaints against them tell people. Dont just say oh the people on here know who I am taling about. That is BS. We all come here to get info. Are you afraid of posting the persons name so others can look them up and see the complaints for themselves? As far as traveling to TJ for surgery 1000's of people do it every year and you do not here of any of them having any trouble what so ever from the "cartels". Like the other poster stated she felt very comfortable going by herself. I feel very comfortable going by myself. I am flying out Sunday for my surgery in TJ. As far as Crime and big cities all cities have it. but you do not here the State Dept issuing warnings about traveling to them. Some of the most dangerous places in the US Detroit, Chicago, St Louis, Memphis, New Orleans. But you do not have the government saying dont got there.
Now I know if I get a reply blasting this post. I know for sure that ldb1095 Is just an online TROLL who has to be right and likes to start arguments and that anyone opinion besides theirs is wrong and does not matter.
I am going to take this a step farther.
If I am a troll then anyone *****ads my past posts can see for themselves if I am here to stir up trouble or offer support. Here is the link to my posts. People can read and see my motives. It's really very simple.

Yes, I posted of a surgeon who has a strong rep of making mega sleeves. If I do write her name then I would be slam dunked for slamming a surgeon. If I don't write her name I am slam dunked for uttering BS for not writing her name.
Kinda makes one wonder who the real troll is here. Why is it that you are free to state your opinion and that's a good thing. I state my opinion and back it up with why I feel as I do and I am a troll.

Anywho - spotless, well-run, fully equipped private hospital, excellent care and complication-free results all around. Well worth paying a few extra $ for, IMNHO.
If you go - the tiramisu in the Italian restaurant (inside the hotel) is amazing. (Your "last supper" should be excellent) Take your swimsuit for a relaxing swim the evening before surgery.
