In recovery

Had my surgery Wednesday the 17th, and made it home Friday night.  I felt horrible the first couple days, but when I woke up at home for the first time I felt a lot better, so I guess they kept me just the right amount of time.  I'm pretty sure the resident *****moved my drain was doing it for the first time though.

One thing that I thought was fun about the hospital wing I was in (it was strictly gi surgery recovery) was that they would anounce "move it" times over the loudspeaker and play music in the hallways, and encourage everyone to come out of their rooms and walk as well as they could, with or without help!

I've been getting a lot of help at home, but my mother went home today so now it's just me and the teen.  I need to keep on top of him.

Take care of yourself, take it easy and keep encouraging that teen to step up, you took care of him his whole life...time for him to take care of his Momma...I love the "Move It" thing....what a great thing to get everyone moving.
