I know I am only 2 and a half months out and try not to judge BUT

On the contrary... It does not seem so easy for me at 2 months out. This is the hardest thing I have ever done. Everyday I struggle to make the tough choices that are right FOR ME. Even when exhausted and getting home from work at 8pm, I make the tough choice of still working out. Even when all I want is a slice of pizza, I make the tough choice to eat according to MY plan.

Eating with this woman was an eye opener for me. I totally agree that everyone's choices are different but will not take back that it made me proud of my choices. I know that if I chose the same route she has chosen, I would fail. It would not work for me. It may work for her and others, but for me.. It would not work.

I wish her all the luck in the world! I want no one to fail. I want everyone to get to their goal and stay there.

I agree with you, Alana. I don't consider this easy. Maybe it's a little easier at 3 months than it was at 2, but every day I have to make good eating decisions. It's totally worth doing, but it's not easy.

All I can tell you is that if this is how much she eats at six months, just wait until you see what she can do at six years.   I am not kidding or making things up.  I have eaten with a number of long term sleevers who can eat more or less a "normal" restaurant portion and have 2-3 drinks while doing it.  It takes a while to get there....but many do get there.  I know there are many new sleevers that just don't believe it is possible, and that's fine, they will see it for themselves down the road.

I am proud of you for eating on your program and staying true to your commitment.  Just stay the course and keep your eye on your prize.  You can and you will make this happen.

Screw it.... judge away..... that's how you learn..... go to school on others.....

That friend of a friend is going to have a very tough second six months and beyond....

What you saw should reinforce your own efforts.....

I guaranty you when you guys eat together 6 months from now she is going to be watching you eat....

Keep the path !

What Frisco said. My niece and I had our surgery the same day and she took your friends attitude and food plan.  She also would not do protein shakes at all she didn't like them and thought I was nuts for being concerned out getting my protein numbers and not over eating my sleeve. She kept saying you can have whatever you want just a little of everything; she included ice cream baking and booze. Well I can tell you she is no where near the success that I have had following the plan and a couple of weeks ago she decided that she now needs to start crash dieting.  Er go before the fall!  All I can do is sit back and be an example and you can do the same. Good for you for doing it right!

She eats like that regularly at 6 months out? Really? Ouch. I am also surprised she can eat and drink at the same time without discomfort. I have tried to drink about 15-20 minutes after eating because I live in Texas and I was out in 100 degree heat at a festival. I was parched. That drink was NOT going down. It came back up. It was gross. And that was after 15-20 minutes! I can't imagine doing that at the same time! Pain and just flushes the food out. Ugh I think she has got a big ole sleeve. I can't eat 3 chicken wings, calamari, a bit of a quesadilla, and an empanada at 18 months out. I can almost eat 2 chicken wings if I am having a big sleeve day ( don't think chicken wings are a bad choice on occasion). . That is a lotta food for 6 months out.

I have a co-worker who was sleeved almost a year ago, and now she brings soda and chips to staff meetings.  She's still losing - I'm not sure how much she has lost - I know she's gone from 4X to XL, and she's thrilled with how much thinner she is.  If she's eating chips though, that seems like an indication that she's going to have problems maintaining her weight.

I eat chips sometimes- the baked lays are not so terrible.  Even had them every so often during the wls phase.  It is all about balancing your choices over the day and week.
