60% EWL....I laugh HAHAHA
So, I recently was reflecting on the stats on vsg and if what I think I read is correct, at one year, the average percentage of EWL is 55-60%.
Well, my highest was 260...I want to weigh 145....100% would = 125 so 60% of EWL would be 75 lbs...right?
If I look at it from surgery weight...233, 100% would be 88, 60% would be 52.8
Today I am at 68.5 loss since my highest and 41.5 from surgery weight (12 weeks since surgery)...am I close to stopping??? NO WAY!
I will be proud to help sway the statistical averages toward higher EWL.

Right on Anne. That's the right way to think about this. We didn't have radical surgery to settle for 60%. We want 100% results. When I had my most recent postop appt, the dr was pleased to tell me I had exceeded 100% EWL. We should all be high achievers when it comes to this. Keep up the good work.
Keep laughing because if you aim for 100%, I'm betting you get there -easily- within a year. It really is about what you're shooting for here, and not about the stats.

that 60% is the nation average , and counts all the people that don't follow there plans , take meds that stop weight loss
also the surgeons give a lower percentage to cover there ass if you don't lose as much as you want to
if you eat less calories than you burn you have to lose weight and the sleeve is a tool to help you eat less calories
stay on plan track all your food and you will lose all the weight you want to
