Bad Day - Adjusting to New Job
I had a bad day today. Turns out as of right now I am ok on food, I thought I went overboard but it turns out by only 46 calories so that;s ok, but I missed my workout today and normally on Thursdays I usually have 2. For the past 6 months I have been working from home and I had the flexibility to workout whenever I wanted/needed to. Now I am working an hour from home so that's 2 hours a day in the car, plus 8 hours on site. I got home tonight, had to pickup my daughter, she needed some things for school, by the time I got that taken care of and made dinner I was out of juice.
I think it will take a while to get it all worked out but I feel ****ty because I missed that workout. I have one schedule for 6 am tomorrow but this is the schedule that got me to where I am so I have to try my best to keep it up.
Just needed to vent! I will get it worked out.

The commutes definitely suck up a lot of time but...just gotta adjust. I don't know if it's possible for you
but I used to workout on my lunch breaks (but I get 1.5 hr for lunch so it's easy). Otherwise...get it done before work so that you can't make excuses (however very legit ones lol) after you're exhausted.

I also worry about going back to my job in 3 weeks. I work night shift at the hospital. I am a Respiratory Care Practitioner and I am all over the hospital and never know when an emergency will arise. I am determined to make it work. There is no room for failure anymore.

I hope you have a better day tomorrow! I know how the commute thing goes. Some days I don't get home until 9:30 p.m.(following my swim class) and up at 5 a.m. Commutes can make it really challenging to get in a good workout but I feel like you will figure it all out and things will work out. They are not all that long but it is really rough on my swim class days (1 1/2 hours), two days are more like 7:30 pm so that's a lot better (after water aerobics). Still have to get in 2 hour physical therapy two to three days a week. I give myself Sundays off and every other Friday unless I walk 2 miles on a nearby trail. I feel like I still don't get enough exercise but I'm just too wiped out.
