Try curling up with large pillow I am a side and tummy sleeper. I just made small adjustments until I was comfortable.

It may take a while. Try adding more pillows to your bed. Put one on both sides of your tummy so when you lay down on one side, the pillow helps gravity. So you are laying on one pillow and you have the other pillow under your back.

Definately use pillows. I'm 11 days out and swear by them. I can't sleep on my back either.

I'm a side sleeper as well. I started sleeping on my side about 3 days after surgery. I slept on my right side..... Ahhhhhhhh, felt SOOOO GOOD! I tried sleeping on my left side, it was VERY uncomfortable and for whatever reason, I seem to have more incisions on my left side. I don't know if It'll help you but I also slept with a pillow in between my legs and had a body pillow.

Good Luck!

The nurse at the hospital said I could lay on my side the night after surgery...but that's a little tough in a hospital bed. I still think the drugs are so you can sleep in those beds and not for the pain

I slept on my side as soon as I got home. I put a pillow under my belly to support it so it didn't pull on the incisions.
