Learn-Learn-Learn.......But don't "Over Think It"
The WL mode is for learning and WL while on a known successful WL plan.........Just execute.....
It can be overwhelming to read all the posted research and different opinions. (including mine)
I'm all for studying up on different pertinent subjects related to WL, health and any of my personal and professional interests.....
But, I see people constantly trying to "over think" the process...... I'm guilty of this myself. Maybe it's the "fat person" inside us that is always trying to "fool" the system when we just end up fooling ourselves......
WL mode can be as easy as just "following" the plan....... If more people would just concentrate on keeping their next meal on plan. It really can be that easy......
Keep it simple...... lose the weight first, than get experimental in maintenance.......

You've said this before, Frisco, and I promise I was paying attention! Elina has said the same thing to me. I used to be one of those people that HAD to have lots of variety in my food, hated leftovers, got easily bored with the same thing. My husband is amazed at the change in me. I probably have a dozen go-to meals that I just keep rotating. I follow the KISS principle - keep-it-simple-stupid
I'm a pretty average and consistent loser in terms of the scale. I plan to be at goal weight by Dec. 31st - the perfect way to toast in the New Year. And yes, I will be having a couple sips of some very expensive champagne. But ONLY if I've reached goal that day!
Thanks for the help you give us newbies in keeping our eye on the prize!
Excellent advice!
Dr. C talked about this very thing last night in group. That if we just stick to the proven plan and stay aware of what we are doing at all times we will succeed. He also talked about needing to keep your head in the game, always - even two, three, four, five years out.
I have to agree. I just stuck with the plan until I hit goal. No stalls. A simple straight downward trajectory to to my goal weight. Maintenance is the time to really get your head in gear and think. Use the skills you've learned during WL and apply them to your daily eating for the rest of your life. Me, being a bit of a rebel, I had to learn this last part the hard way, but once I did, I live it every day.
Weird...... I was channeling DrC.
.... I learned that from him......

keeping on plan is most important it seems , your surgeon and nut came up with the plan based on there knowlege , which is alot more than most of ours
there is the old saying IF IT AIN'T BROKE DON'T FIX IT
i AM NOt NEAR Maintance YET BUT i WOULD THINK THAT ALL THAT SHOULD BE NEEDED IS TO STAY ON PLAN AND UP the cal with fruits and veggies , so that you eat the amount of cal your body needs to maintain the same weight
so just stick to your plan
