I am so freaking nervous, not about the surgery, but the diet. How silly is that? Btw, can I have cream in my now decaf coffee? I hope so.

It depends on what your doctor wants for the pre-op diet. I cannot have coffee or tea. Only water.... Besides the protein shakes and 1 jello per day.

I have a pretty broad menu to include full liquids, yogurt, diet pudding and the shakes.  I just cannot drink my coffee black.

Your diet sounds pretty close to mine. I am on day 3.  The thing that has helped me the most is low sodium  broth. I never would have thought that I would enjoy a bowl of broth, but it is the most satisfying thing I can consume.  I don't ever feel full after yogurt or shakes but adding that bowl of broth in there, I am satiated for a while.  I was very nervous too, and I still am. Just try to manage moments and know that these moments will pass. Good luck!

I'm on day 1 of my pre-op.  Mine sounds similar to yours and mine says no coffee or tea.  Not a big deal for me since I'm not a coffee drinker but I understand that it will be hard for others.  good luck (to all of us!)
